Indiana · Talk to a ProAdvisor

Speak to an Indiana QuickBooks ProAdvisor — free, no sales pitch.

Book a call with an actual QuickBooks ProAdvisor who works with Indiana businesses statewide. We review your own QuickBooks file, answer your questions, and tell you honestly what you need — bookkeeping setup, cleanup, monthly management, or advisory. No obligation, no call-center. This is an independent firm’s advisory line, not Intuit or QuickBooks product support.

Read this first — who we are, and who we’re not

A QuickBooks ProAdvisor reviews your own QuickBooks file. What this team does is the bookkeeping and advisory work inside your books.

For an Intuit account, billing, or login issue, contact Intuit directly; for filing tax returns or representation, your CPA or EA handles that, and the business personal-property return (Form 102/103) is filed with the county assessor by your CPA or preparer.

The short version

You are reaching TechBrot. This is NOT Intuit, NOT QuickBooks support, and NOT Intuit’s ProAdvisor referral line. “QuickBooks ProAdvisor” is a certification held by a named member of this firm from Intuit; it does not mean Intuit affiliation. If you need help with an Intuit account, billing, subscription, login, or QuickBooks product support, contact Intuit directly — this team cannot access your Intuit account. What this team does: bookkeeping and advisory on your own books — QuickBooks setup, cleanup, monthly management, and CFO-level advisory for Indiana businesses. The full picture is below.

TechBrot does not provide Intuit account, billing, or product support and does not file Indiana tax returns or the business personal-property return.

In short

The short version.

Book a free, no-obligation discovery call with a QuickBooks ProAdvisor who works with Indiana businesses statewide — from Indianapolis and the Hamilton County suburbs to Fort Wayne, Evansville, South Bend, and the Northwest Indiana Region. You speak with an actual ProAdvisor — not a salesperson, and not an Intuit product-support rep — who reviews your own QuickBooks file and your situation, answers your questions, and tells you honestly whether you need cleanup, monthly bookkeeping, setup, or something else.

This is an independent firm’s advisory line, not Intuit. TechBrot is a bookkeeping and advisory firm — that certification comes from Intuit, but the firm is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit Inc. If your issue is an Intuit account, billing, subscription, login, or QuickBooks product fault, the call won’t help — that’s Intuit’s to fix, and only Intuit can access your account. The call is for the accounting work inside your books.

If we’re a fit, you get a written fixed-fee proposal within 3 business days; if not, we’ll point you in a better direction. We’re not a CPA firm — we handle bookkeeping, QuickBooks, sales-tax tracking, county LIT withholding, and payroll, and coordinate with your CPA or EA, who files your Indiana returns and represents you, while the business personal-property return (Form 102/103) is filed with the county assessor by your CPA or preparer.

Who should call — and who Intuit should handle

Is a ProAdvisor call the right call?

A discovery call with this team is about your own books — how your QuickBooks file is set up and run. The split below tells you where to go.

Talk to this team

Your own books & QuickBooks file

A ProAdvisor call is the right call when the work is on the books themselves — how your QuickBooks file is set up, whether it’s accurate, and who keeps it that way. Typical Indiana callers:

  • Setting up a new QuickBooks file or fixing a botched setup
  • Books are behind or a mess and need cleanup or catch-up
  • Want recurring monthly bookkeeping with a named ProAdvisor
  • Need Indiana sales-tax, county LIT withholding, payroll, or reporting handled correctly in QuickBooks
  • Want CFO-level advisory on what the numbers mean

Your Intuit account, billing & login

This team cannot access your Intuit account, change your subscription, or fix the QuickBooks software. For any of the following, go to Intuit — not this call:

  • Intuit account, password, login, or two-factor problems
  • QuickBooks subscription, renewal, refunds, or billing disputes
  • Buying, downgrading, or cancelling a QuickBooks plan
  • QuickBooks Online or Desktop product bugs, outages, or error codes from Intuit’s side
  • Anything that needs access to your Intuit login or company account

Unsure which side you’re on? Tell us in one line on the call or the form, and if it’s an Intuit account or billing matter we’ll say so and point you to Intuit rather than book a call that can’t help you.

What to expect on the call

A real conversation, not a sales funnel.

You speak with a QuickBooks ProAdvisor — the kind of person who would do or oversee the work — not a salesperson and not a product-support queue. We listen first, review your file if you share access, and tell you honestly what you need, what it costs, and whether we are the right fit.

The call runs the same way wherever you are, so it is written up once: how a discovery call works, step by step →. What changes by state is the second half of that call — what Indiana actually requires of your books, below.

The Indiana half of the call

What Indiana actually requires of your books.

Indiana looks simple on paper — flat income tax, one statewide sales rate, no local add-ons. Two things make it not simple: a county income tax that follows the employee home, and a personal-property filing that is required even when nothing is owed.

County income tax is withheld by where the employee lives

All 92 counties levy a Local Income Tax on top of the 2.95% state rate for 2026, and the rate is set by the employee’s county of residence on 1 January.

In the file: Payroll has to carry a per-employee county code and be re-checked every January. An employee who moves counties changes the withholding even though nothing about the job changed.

The personal-property exemption still has to be claimed

Business personal property under $2,000,000 total cost in a county is exempt for 2026 — but the exemption must be declared on Form 102 or 103.

In the file: The form is built from the fixed-asset register. A file with no asset detail cannot produce it, which is how an exempt business ends up assessed.

One sales rate, and no local layer to configure

7% statewide, flat, with no local add-ons — genuinely simpler than Illinois or Texas next door.

In the file: The work here is on the taxability side rather than the rate side: which goods and services are in scope, set on the item list.

Logistics means multi-state nexus, early

Indiana is the most manufacturing-intensive state by share of GDP and the logistics core of the Midwest.

In the file: Shippers cross other states’ economic-nexus thresholds long before they expect to. The books are where that becomes visible, if they are current.

Every figure above is maintained against Indiana’s own published sources and updated when those sources change. Full detail on the Indiana page →.

The boundary, stated plainly

What the call covers — and what it does not.

So no one wastes a call: here is exactly what a ProAdvisor can help with, and what only Intuit can.

A ProAdvisor can

Help with the work inside your books

  • Set up or fix your QuickBooks file and chart of accounts
  • Clean up, catch up, and reconcile your books
  • Run recurring monthly bookkeeping and the monthly close
  • Handle Indiana sales-tax, county LIT withholding, payroll, and reporting in QuickBooks
  • Advise on what your numbers mean and how to act on them

Delivered in your own QuickBooks file by a named QuickBooks ProAdvisor, on a fixed-fee written scope.

A ProAdvisor cannot

Touch your Intuit account — only Intuit can

  • Reset your Intuit login, password, or two-factor
  • Change, cancel, or refund a QuickBooks subscription
  • Resolve Intuit billing disputes or account lockouts
  • Fix QuickBooks software bugs, outages, or Intuit-side error codes
  • Act as Intuit’s official support or ProAdvisor referral line — we are neither

For any of these, contact Intuit directly — this team has no access to your Intuit account.

The advisory line

Automation handles the data entry. We handle the judgment.

The reason to talk to a real ProAdvisor — not a chatbot, a form, or a product-support queue — is judgment. Indiana’s tax landscape has specifics that matter to your situation — a flat 7% sales tax with no local add-ons, a flat 2.95% state income tax, and a 92-county local income tax (LIT) matrix driven by county of residence on January 1 — and a short conversation about your actual books often saves a costly assumption. That’s what the call is for.

It’s judgment about your accounting — how the file should be structured, which county’s LIT applies, whether out-of-state shipments cross a nexus line, what the numbers are telling you. It is not Intuit product support and not account help; for those, Intuit is the right and only place. Here, a QuickBooks ProAdvisor who knows your file turns it into decisions you can run the business on.

How do I speak to a ProAdvisor?

Book a free discovery call through this page. You’ll speak directly with a QuickBooks ProAdvisor who works with Indiana businesses statewide — not a salesperson, and not Intuit product support. This is an independent firm’s advisory line, not Intuit’s referral line.

Is this Intuit or QuickBooks support?

No. TechBrot is an TechBrot — not Intuit. For Intuit account, billing, subscription, login, or QuickBooks product issues, contact Intuit directly; this team works on your own books, not your Intuit account.

Salesperson or actual ProAdvisor?

Is the first call free?

Yes — the call and the initial review of your own file cost nothing and carry no obligation. A fit gets a written fixed-fee proposal; a non-fit gets an honest referral.

Questions about speaking with a ProAdvisor.

How do I speak to a QuickBooks ProAdvisor in Indiana?

What should I have ready for the call?
Whatever you have — access to your QuickBooks file is ideal, but even a rough description of your business, your entity type, and what’s going wrong (or what you’re setting up) is enough to have a useful conversation. There’s no preparation requirement; we’ll guide the call.
Will I talk to an actual ProAdvisor or a salesperson?
An actual QuickBooks ProAdvisor. The person who reviews your situation is the kind of person who’d do or oversee the work — so the advice you get on the call is real, not a pitch handed off to someone else later.
What happens after the call?
